Lamberts Multi-Guard Advance is, after Multi-Max, a 2nd alternative choice for people over 50 years of age.

Compared to Multi-Max, it has a lower content of vitamins A, E and C and almost all B vitamins. The exceptions are biotin, folic acid and pyridoxine, which are identical in the 2 preparations, and vitamin B12, which is 5 times higher in Multi-Guard Advance.

The emphasis given to the content of B12 and folic acid in Multi-Guard Advance is due to the fact that they play an important role in the health of the cardiovascular system by contributing to the normal metabolism of homocysteine.

In addition, it contains lutein and high amounts of natural antioxidants. Lutein is a carotenoid found in green vegetables and plays an important role in eye health. Each Multi-Guard tablet contains 2mg of naturally occurring lutein.

The natural antioxidants included come from titrated extracts of turmeric (Curcuma longa), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) and red grape seeds (Vitis vinifera). All three herbs are accompanied by a significant volume of references in the modern literature regarding their biological actions.
